This internet marketing stuff takes time.
A few months ago, I published a PLR pack on JV Zoo. I was pretty pleased with it. I loved researching and writing it. I’ve been bookish since I was a kid and reading and writing have always been the kind of thing I loved to do. In fact, recently I was doing a guided meditation on motivation. The guide said to think of one of my favorite childhood memories. I remembered a day when my mother took my sisters and me to my aunt’s house to swim in the pool. I took a big stack of books with me and sat by the pool and read. And that was one of my favorite childhood memories.
So researching and writing my PLR pack suited me perfectly. When I published it, I made several hundred dollars. In the several years that I have tried, with greater and lesser fervor, to build an online business, I haven’t been so successful with anything else.
And I got some good feedback. My customers said they liked it. My affiliates complimented me about it. The obvious conclusion was, do it again! Do it every month! Do it thousands of times!
But months have passed and I’m not close to publishing my second pack yet.
There are probably a number of reasons for that. Sometimes, I ditz around instead of being productive. Often, I overschedule my evenings so that I don’t have time to stuff everything I intend to do into the few hours I have between the time I get home and the time I go to bed. I end up cutting my internet marketing hours as a result.
But the other thing is that this stuff just takes time. Now, some writers are speedy. I’m not. Some people read fast and research efficiently. I don’t read that fast and I sometimes get a little sidetracked when I’m researching.
It just takes time. If I schedule an hour and a half for my IM work in the evening, I’ll be lucky to get much more than one article written.
Now, here’s the punchline. What was that famous first PLR pack about? Why, it was about goal-setting, of course. Make Your Dreams Come True Only $7!
